As a vocalist, poet, actress, African drummer and musician, it has been my honor to have graced the stage from the Midwest to Los Angeles, and the San Francisco/East Bay Area for several years. I have performed in arenas such as The Michigan Women’s Festival 2008, the Annual World Pride Spiritual Conference in Los Angeles-2008, and I am a regular at the Boom Boom Room on the renowned Fillmore Street in San Francisco, as lead vocalist and spoken word artist with Meastro Curtis and his Jazz band.

Working under the talented producer and instructor, Maestro Curtis of Jazzy Boo Records I have performed with some of the most talented Jazz, Blues, and R&B musicians in the business. I am also the founder of Pandora’s Paradox Project, musical director of AriSata Production Company, a member of the Jazz Hieroglyphics Band, and the Chocolate Rainbow Theatre Ensemble.

As I continue to step into my true self expanding my spiritual awareness and views on social and cultural repression, I realize that my purpose in life is to use my talents for the struggle against racism, sexism, homophobia, and all other forms of social and internalized oppression. As a musician, I continuously strive to use my talents to educate and rejuvenate the community bringing a message of love peace & happiness to as many lives as I can through my words, music, and my dedication to both.

Lori Jenaire

Los Angeles, CA – When songbird Lori Jenaire graced the musical landscape a few years ago with her debut CD offering, “Within Reach,” music enthusiasts happily took note. The Chicago native brought something pleasingly different yet hauntingly familiar to the scene.

A statuesque 6-foot-tall beauty with scintillating vocals, Jenaire’s presence conjured up images of divas from an era past like Phyllis Hyman. Her single, “You Know How To Love Me,” from the debut hit #19 on the Billboard Dance charts as a remix single and garnered Grammy consideration.

With her sophomore release, aptly titled, “Fruition,” on NBE Records, Jenaire solidifies her stance in the music game. The twelve song selection weaves a magical web of rhythms that whirl, sway and weave with seduction and sultry sophistication. “Fruition” is the culmination of inner soul stirrings laid bare.

“‘Fruition’ is dedicated to my Grandmother who passed away during its recording, ” expresses Jenaire. “She always pushed me to record more of my own original music. It was my hope to recapture the melodic qualities of love songs from the classic soul era of the 70’s and 80’s with this project. ” Produced by Scott Cannady, Philadelphian native and musical director to Gladys Knight, “Fruition” is the perfect blending of neo-soul and jazz with old school sensibilities and memorable hooks.

Not only an accomplished songwriter/ arranger, Jenaire is also a talented musician, playing guitar, bass and piano. Her resume also includes several national advertising jingles, for Coca-Cola, GE, and United Way, as well as soundtrack work for television and films. In fact, her music is heard regularly on the top rated syndicated television show, “Girlfriends.”

Jenaire opens “Fruition” with a beaming cover of “California Dreamin’.” With vocals that are upbeat, sassy and finger poppin’ Jenaire’s rendition redefines the universal pop classic. “Stay Strong” composed by Jenaire with Scott Canady is a lilting anthem of perseverance infused with a West Indian tinged rap by Higher Lion. Tracks like “Danger Zone” and “Unexpected Storm” recall the moody intonations of Phyllis Hyman, as Jenaire’s voice takes on the subtle hues reminiscent of smoke-filled, blue-lit jazz rooms. “Pictures” written for Jenaire’s recently deceased Grandmother, embodies an impassioned heartfelt love burdened with memories, while “Lately I’ rocks with soul-laden melancholy.

Lori’s Jenaire’s musical sojourn has reached “Fruition” with this release. Whether the perfect accompaniment to a romantic evening for two or background for a quiet evening alone, Jenaire’s voice is a soothing antidote for the world’s restlessness, commanding calm while defying limitations.

“Fruition” is available on ITUNES and at www.LoriJenaire.com

Carole Beausaint Denis

Carole Beausaint Denis is a singer-songwriter born in London and currently based in Amsterdam. She has co-written songs with many prominent members of the UK music scene such as Nick Van Gelder (Ozric Tentacles, Jamiroquai, Akimbo) and two-time Grammy Award winner Phil Ramocon (Jimmy Cliff, Neneh Cherry, Keb’ Mo’).

Her career as a singer has likewise been a highly successful one. Carole was a member of the London Community Gospel Choir and has done session work on many different projects, lending her unique vocals to recordings and live performances for big names like Jennifer Holiday and Michael Bolton. Carole’s style is hard to pinpoint as she effortlessly moves between Blues, Reggae, Funk and Rock.

In some of her original work a clear influence of her Caribbean heritage can be discerned. Carole is equally at home in intimate acoustic settings and the large electric stage. In Amsterdam she is mainly known as the lead singer for her Funk/Rock jam band “EP4″ (Ear Piercing for Babies).

Together with award-winning Dutch guitarist Joep Berkenbosch she has entered into a prolific songwriting partnership which the duo has successfully been able to project onto the stage. Gathering an international group of virtuoso musicians around them the two have been taking Amsterdam’s venues by storm since the band’s inception in 2006. Highlights in that first year included the band’s performance as closing act at the annual “Uitmarkt” Festival in the Dutch capital.

In 2007 EP4B was the only European act selected to appear at the famous “Jam in the Dam” festival at the Melkweg in Amsterdam alongside big names from the US jam band scene: “Keller Williams” and “Galactic”.

The latter were so impressed with Carole’s vocals and electrifying persona that she was invited to join them on stage for an impromptu jam session. Carole’s energetic performance and unique vocal quality leave a lasting impression on anyone who’s ever seen her perform. A highly charismatic artist she never fails to excite audiences with her dynamic stage presence and powerful voice. Carole Beausaint Denis is a name you will want to remember!

The Music Lady

In my beginning, I can remember developing a love for music. I would spend hours playing on my parents record player; old Motown music. And inside of loving this so much, I begin to visualize myself, doing some of the things that the musicians-singers would do.

As I grew into adulthood, I begin to manifest some of the qualities that I saw-learned from others; (The Jackson 5). One of my major influences was the one and only “Michael Jackson”. He was so young when he first started, that I felt he was an advocate for all of us young folks that wished to pursue a career in the entertainment field. I was encouraged away from this by my parents; however, they didn’t waiver me from what I allowed myself to become involved in.

Today, I am happy to say that I’ve been able to touch many lives with the gift that God gave me, by being able to discern creativity of Music, Poetry-Writings, and Art. I’m able to appreciate all the work that goes into bringing others joy, by ways of “Music” which brings pleasured ear-candy, “Art-Poetry-Writing” which brings pleasured eye-candy.

I’ve never asked for any major notoriety for what I’ve been born to love, and to do. All I’ve asked is to leave a positive feeling to someone, or people on this earth that they can share with others of me, that may motivate and inspire. All in all I feel that who I am today, is my Destiny! It is still my Journey. For I am learning new things about myself each day I live. I have been blessed with a loving “close” family, which I treasure.

I have been blessed with the gift of knowing how wonderful it is to live in simplicity. This is what brings joy to me and all that know me. That what comes from a friendship with me or a associate of mine; will not be full of drama, but hopefully enlighten to a good experience, that will be forever remembered as a happy memory positively.
