In a 2004 interview in the July issue of Interview Magazine Carly Simon revealed her full ancestry as being Jewish, Black, Cuban and French, noting that her Spanish mother was of German, Cuban and Black ancestry. Carly Simon also won an Oscar in the Best Original Song category in 1989.
